phase 01 mid april to mid may 2020 daily meeting at a distance vienna-dresden

In mid-April 2020, the collaboration between mother (Viola) and daughter (actress/speaker/lyricist), which had long been planned and could suddenly be realized under the given circumstances, began: digital/contactless/spontaneous/daily exchange/online.
In Vienna, 3-4 tracks were recorded daily, live and intuitively, and sent to Dresden/Neustadt immediately after creation. There, lyrics are written to the music or selected based on the music. These are spoken over the music, recited and mixed together on Garage Band.
There are never more than one or two attempts.
Background noise, overmodulation and the like are also accepted for the direct and unfiltered exchange. It is what it is and reflects the time of creation and the relationship between the two producers in its entirety. Apart from * , * the tracks have not been edited or reworked.

Mother and daughter (= MUTO) invite us to listen into their intimate musical Pandemy diary. To the lyrics, written and read by Marlene, her mother improvises on the viola in a most emphatic way.
Trained in classical music, she replies spontaneously to the literary prompting. This creates an intense atmosphere, in which word and musical sound, precisely tuned, meet each other.
As listener you are drawn into this vibrant and comforting space.
Such an austere and transparent arrangement of voice and viola can be so
entertaining and exciting if the right protagonists (actors) are in the studio
and Walther Soyka of the non food factory takes care of the mastering.
